It all started when…
I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Program.
During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques and innovative coaching methods with some of the world's top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching and preventative health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
I received my Masters of Science in Health Coaching and Applied Nutrition (IHCU) from the International Health Coaching University in December 2018. My time as a student of IHCU introduced me to the many theories of learning, the psychological triggers and aspects of permanent change and prepared me to identify how to better guide my clients through the process of change.
I received my health coaching certification through the International Association for Health Coaches (IAHC) which required me to take and pass the IAHC certification exam. This certification recognizes coaches for expertise in active listening, coaching and accountability along with proficiencies in professional and ethical standards. It also recognizes those certified as an expert in helping clients create lasting chance through positive behavior modification.
I received my Fitness and Nutrition Specialist (CFNS) certification through Exercise and Nutrition Works In June 2018. The certification gives me unique access to software that helps to track clients’ progress of their fat loss and muscle gain goals and to make necessary adjustments to guarantee success.
